Getting There

please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time. So Please prepare for finding a carpark as Mornington can get busy. Allow extra time for holiday periods as well along with the walk into the salon. We also suggest not booking appointments directly after your estimated time of service as we never know if a service may take longer then expected, rushing a service may lead to a rushed colour which means the quality of service will not be performed and we don’t like being put through that pressure.

covid 19

The Salon and staff have very strict guidelines and have to maintain a level of hygiene. this means that you will be welcomed to sit down when a seat has bean cleaned so please don’t help yourself without a staff memeber. We please kindly ask that if you have any symptoms that you reschedule your appointment for a week or 2 later. We advise following our social media plateforms to keep up to dates with what is happening in the salon and also last minute availabilties. please understand all guidelines are directed from the goverment so please understand this is not our decision.

We do not tollerate rude behaviour and expect to be respected and spoken to in a well manor. if there is an issue please contact us by email styleonempire@outlook.com

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment for any reason please note that this must be done 48 hours prior to your appointment. if you fail to do so we will keep the deposit paid upon booking. this also applies for no shows as this is loss of appointment opportunities.

Clothing

We all love when we get a new top and want to wear it out but please remember this is a hair appointment with a salon full of chemicals/ services going on. We strongly recommend not wearing it for the appointment on the slight risk that colour might get on it. along with your lovely face masks as they are guaranteed to get colour on them. we supply disposable masks for services. Please understand that we will not take any responsibility for damaged clothing as it is a risk you take for wearing the items. we do everything we can to protect you but please understand we cant guarantee the protection.

refunds/fix ups

please note there will be No refunds given if there is change of mind. We understand sometimes there may be a miscommunication or understanding of a colour/service so please bring or send pictures prior to your appointment. This will also give us time to double check the booking and make sure your in for the correct service and allow appropriate time. All hair services have a 2 week cooling off period and if there is something they are not happy with it needs to be addressed and booked in within the 2 weeks so please call and speak to the stylist who did your service.

Refunds are not available if the clients have been told their hair was previously compromised and if they are not using the recommended hair care. This Also applies to hair extensions that are coloured/purple shampooed or cut into. If a colour service was performed and then had extensions installed through another salon there is no cooling off period.


Hair extensions


The lifespan of extensions varies depending on what products have been used on them, lifestyle choices and also how often they are maintained.

Regular maintenance, which includes brushing daily, wearing your hair in a braid to bed and when swimming and exercising will help maintain your extensions. As your hair grows the extensions will naturally grow out with your hair. Proper treatment, such as using our recommended hair products will extend the life of your hair extensions. It is not possible to state an exact time frame as each person has different results. The average time for poorly maintained extensions is 3-6 months. If you look after them correctly they can last 6-12 months. Some of our diligent clients have used the same hair for 18 months, but generally most people choose to get new hair approximately every 6 months.
